Subfield / The retrofit platform

Your tank.
A new approach
to treatment.

Keep the suitable tank already in the ground. Build a more considered treatment, installation and service experience around it.

A modular wastewater-treatment retrofit being developed for suitable existing septic tanks. Original Subfield assemblies, clear connections and service access—without another wastewater vessel in the base design.

Concept: treatment modules inside an existing septic tankAn existing shell holds a quiet primary compartment, a removable aerated media rack and a protected outlet clarification area. A dry air supply feeds a dedicated underwater manifold. The outlet leads to the existing approved dispersal system. Upgrade the inside

Not another tank.
A coordinated retrofit.

The proposed core pairs removable biological media with airlift circulation and protected solids separation. Subfield’s mounts, connections, controls and service tools are developed as one platform.

The base concept adds no wastewater tank or pod. The existing shell, usable volumes, access and disposal arrangement still have to qualify.

Fit

Survey first. Configure deliberately.

A qualified host-tank and adapter range—not a promise that one size fits every installation.

Install

Clear connections. Clear instructions.

Factory-built assemblies, distinct interfaces and revision-matched documentation to reduce avoidable field work.

Service

Access the part that needs attention.

Individually retrievable modules, identified components and useful records for the next professional.

Original Subfield assemblies

Designed together.
Serviceable individually.

Our plan is to manufacture Subfield’s treatment, mounting, control and connection assemblies, using qualified materials and electronic inputs. Pumps are purchased from qualified manufacturers rather than developed in-house. Production arrangements for the air pump or blower are still being evaluated.

Our development standard links each part to its material, revision, inspection and eventual service procedure. Appearance is not a substitute for qualification.

Care for the system.
Keep living your life.

The goal is fewer avoidable interventions and straightforward professional service—not a maintenance-free claim. Pumping, required inspections and equipment care still matter.

Plan for installation and ownership

Before you begin

A clear starting point.

Understand the product direction, its limits and what must be proven before an installation.

Does it fit every septic tank?

No. The objective is broad coverage through a qualified range of host tanks and adapters. Condition, geometry, access, usable treatment and solids-storage volume, ventilation and the downstream field must all be reviewed.

Does the base design need another buried tank?

No additional wastewater tank or pod is part of the base retrofit concept. Suitable dry equipment housing and existing approved dosing infrastructure may still be needed. A site that cannot meet the configuration requirements may not qualify.

Is this just a filter?

No. The proposed core is an aerobic biological process supported by fixed media, with controlled circulation and protected solids separation. Required coarse protection or field filtration performs a different job.

Is it rated for 600 gallons a day?

Not yet. Approximately 600 US gallons per day is an initial development duty. A rating requires testing of the complete configuration at defined wastewater loads and operating conditions.

Will it be maintenance-free?

No. The goal is to reduce avoidable intervention and develop hardware servicing around normal pump-out where evidence and approval permit. Pumping, required inspections, wear components and purchased-pump care remain; a three-to-five-year interval is not established.

Do you manufacture the pumps?

No. Pumps are the explicit purchased exception to our original-assembly manufacturing plan. The air-pump or blower production arrangement remains under evaluation.

Can I order or install it today?

Not yet. This is a development preview. Released configurations, qualified instructions, local approval, commercial terms and availability must be established first. An inquiry is not a purchase, reservation or compatibility decision.

Does it still work without internet?

Essential treatment and required local alarms are being designed not to depend on cloud access or a subscription. A power outage is different and must follow the qualified, finite-reserve failure plan.
