Vessel Shell R1.

Geometry, analysis and remaining engineering work for Vessel Shell R1.

Retained development study. Dimensions, names and checks belong to this revision—not automatically to the retrofit-only product. Manufactured tank shells are deferred. No installation instruction, certification or manufacturing release is represented.

The source reasoning

Why this detail was investigated.

This original candidate uses the 3102 × 2101 × 1850 mm source envelope with a new assumed 3 mm uniform skin, 75 mm plan corner radii and 30 mm external floor transitions. The inner radii and floor offset preserve the nominal skin through the modeled transitions. The top is open.

The detail behind
the study.

Source-linked work for this revision. Reported checks describe the stated model or test; physical qualification and applicability to the current retrofit remain separate.

The skin is not structurally sized. It is not a stand-alone pressure-resistant vessel. Wall/base reinforcement, center support, rim, partitions, roof, penetrations, lifting points and protective construction remain required. Zero draft is a modeling baseline, not a finished mold-release specification.

CAD volume gives 118.64 kg at the assumed 1560 kg/m³ density. The cavity contains approximately 2396.76 US gallons below the newly assumed Z=1403 mm liquid surface, before internals. This differs from the source's deliberately reduced accounting prism; it does not establish certified capacity or permit equipment to be omitted from displacement.

The exact roof intersection report identifies all seven existing roof-member solids whose ends overlap the new skin. No member was silently shortened. Resolve their bearing and load transfer into the rim and permanent structure before calling the assembly fitted.

Files: lower-vessel-skin.step, liquid-before-internals.step, shell-record.json, LOWER-VESSEL-SKIN-CANDIDATE.blend and views/assembled.png. The JSON records the modeling assumptions, measured geometry and current clashes. Formal approval remains deferred; fabrication readiness is not claimed.
